Lima, Peru, is a city full of surprises. Layer upon layer is a rich culture, friendly people and a fascinating history. Located on the Pacific coast and is one of the cities of the world’s largest desert.
Lima is a city of contrasts. There are slums that make it a third world country, but there are modern skyscrapers, resorts, colonial mansions and shopping centers. Other than that, it also has many Inca ruins and artifacts that survived the Spanish conquest and modern civilization. The city of Lima has much to offer tourists, has its own identity that distinguishes it from other South American cities and countries.
Lima Weather and Climate
Lima climate is generally subtropical, warm temperate and generally pleasant. Lima is still very dry and arid throughout the year, and rain is practically unknown here. Therefore, wear light clothing, and leave the umbrellas and jackets back.

* Blue Hill – is the oldest public space in the city of Lima.
* Cathedral of Lima – incorporated January 18, 1535, the cathedral was originally a modest temple built by Jerónimo de Loayza. The cathedral is located in the Plaza de Armas de Lima.
* Plaza de Acho – He served as the main city ring bull. Many celebrations are held each year, including the famous Lord of Miracles Festival in October.
* Plaza Italia – one of the first source of seventeenth century bronze and has numerous churches. Many weekend events are held here, with many markets and stalls.
* Plaza San Martin – one of the biggest squares in Lima. Dating from 1921, with a central statue of the liberator of Spanish America, José Francisco de San Martin.
* The Malecon – the Paseo de la Ciudad de Lima offers a scenic boardwalk, mosaic floors of bright colors and spectacular views of the bay.
* Daytona Park – a theme park that offers something for all ages. The bumper cars, carousel, boat rides, and even the soft areas of children’s games, this place is perfect for quality family time.
* Plaza Bolivar – is formerly known as Plaza de la Inquisition, the square is flanked by a lot of tourist attractions and museums. It is also where the ancient mummies found in the Nazca lines can be displayed.
